Cross + Catherine: The Companion (legacy novel) by Bethany-Kris

The crime boss and the hustling queen are back for one last goodbye …

Cross and Catherine watch as their kids grow up, and everything changes again. Life is still as busy as it ever was for these two, and their family.

Cece and Nazio are trying to figure this life thing out. From toddling babies to wedding bells, everything they’ve ever wanted is already at their fingertips.

Go behind the scenes and beyond the final chapter of the Cross + Catherine series in The Companion to find never-before-seen POVs, deleted scenes, future outtakes, and short stories—all requested by readers.

Each snapshot is written in short-story form, and meant to be enjoyed as individual pieces by the readers of the Cross + Catherine series. It is not standalone, and is not intended to be read as one.

My thoughts:
This book was needed for the fans. the premise of this book helps to fill in the gaps in the story. The book is made up of a collection of short stories. the stories make you feel closer to the c…

My thoughts:

Xander: Part 2, The Present (rockstar series 14) by Anne Mercier

t's eleven years later, and we're still living separate lives. While I know she isn't comfortable with my lifestyle after everything she’s been through, I can't be without her anymore.

I need her.

She's my wife.

She's my heartbeat.

She's my every breath.

She's my everything.

I want to know every detail of her life. I want to be part of it all. I want to work as hard to get there as she did to get here.

She's always been my girl—even at the age of eight. As I face her now, there's no doubt she'll be mine until I draw my last breath.

It's time for our forever to begin.

My thoughts:
This book was on my most anticipated reads for 2018 and it is finally here! I was so nervous to read they this book at first because I did not want it to be a bad book. I will warn you now that you will cry for like 80% of the book. There were so many emotional moments. In this book, we get more of a serious Xander than we are used to but I liked seein…

Cover Reveal for Refrain (rockstar 15) by Anne Mercier

I know that today is not my usual posting day but you know my obsession with this series. So without further ado...

🎢πŸ₯ŠπŸŽΈ REFRAIN (Rockstar Book 15) 🎸πŸ₯ŠπŸŽΆ 🌟 Ethan and Linc's story (m/m romance) ⭐️ ↳ Estimated release date: Mid-August ↵
As a child, I trusted no one. Then I found my best friends. They gave me a family and saved me from a life of abuse that still has me messed up.
Then one of those best friends captured my heart. Lincoln, tough yet tender, a walking contradiction. He loves me too—flaws and all. He’s the most patient man on the earth and understands my PTSD.
What he doesn’t understand is why our being intimate makes me feel “dirty”. He’s not one of the men who abused me and he’d never hurt me. I know this. I believe it.

Elite (eagle elite 1) by Rachel Van Dyken

Blurb: For Tracey Rooks, life with her grandparents on a Wyoming farm has always been simple. But after her grandmother's death, Tracey is all her grandfather has. So when Eagle Elite University announces its annual scholarship lottery, Tracey jumps at the opportunity to secure their future and enters. She isn't expecting much-but then she wins. And life as she knows it will never be same . . .

The students at Eagle Elite are unlike any she's ever met . . . and they refuse to make things easy for her. There's Nixon, gorgeous, irresistible, and leader of a group that everyone fears: The Elect. Their rules are simple. 1. Do not touch The Elect. 2. Do not look at The Elect. 3. Do not speak to The Elect. No matter how hard she tries to stay away, The Elect are always around her and it isn't long until she finds out the reason why they keep their friends close and their enemies even closer. She just didn't realize she was the enemy -- until it was too late.

Legendary (caraval 2) by Stephanie Garber

This is a bonus post for the week. It won't happen every week but if I think the book is that good I will put up an extra post on Sundays on top of whatever content I normally post during the week.

A heart to protect. A debt to repay. A game to win.

After being swept up in the magical world of Caraval, Donatella Dragna has finally escaped her father and saved her sister Scarlett from a disastrous arranged marriage. The girls should be celebrating, but Tella isn’t yet free. She made a desperate bargain with a mysterious criminal, and what Tella owes him no one has ever been able to deliver: Caraval Master Legend’s true name.

The only chance of uncovering Legend’s identity is to win Caraval, so Tella throws herself into the legendary competition once more—and into the path of the murderous heir to the throne, a doomed love story, and a web of secrets…including her sister's. Caraval has always demanded bravery, cunning, and sacrifice. But now the game is asking for more. If T…

Alannna (Slater Brothers 5.5) by L.A. Casey

Alannah Ryan is plagued by an old face haunting her dreams, turning her waking hours into a mess of worry. Talking it out with the person she loves the most isn’t a possibility, not when the same face haunts him, too.

Damien Slater has the life he always wanted with the woman he adores by his side, but there’s a problem. His woman is keeping a secret, and they swore they would never let another secret come between them again.

Breaking Alannah’s guard will be Damien’s greatest challenge yet as he proves once and for all that he is in it for the long haul.

Alannah admires Damien, and what Alannah admires, Alannah watches over.
My thoughts:

Blessed Death (godhunter 23) by Amy Sumida

Sometimes Death is a blessing.
Death was once something for the Godhunter to fight, but now she knows him intimately. She knows that the Angel of Death can be beautiful, charming, and irresistible. My thoughts:
I can't believe that this is book 23. If you have read this series it will have you pulled in from the first book and this book is no different than the other ones in the series. Not going to lie to you, sometimes my head gets a little confused with so many characters and I feel like I need a chart to keep up sometimes.  the main boyfriend in this book is Azreal. I feel li…

Holy Sh*t: a brief history of swearing by Melissa Mohr

Blurb: Almost everyone swears, or worries about not swearing, from the two year-old who has just discovered the power of potty mouth to the grandma who wonders why every other word she hears is obscene. Whether they express anger or exhilaration, are meant to insult or to commend, swear words perform a crucial role in language. But swearing is also a uniquely well-suited lens through which to look at history, offering a fascinating record of what people care about on the deepest levels of a culture--what's divine, what's terrifying, and what's taboo.

Holy Sh*t tells the story of two kinds of swearing--obscenities and oaths--from ancient Rome and the Bible to today. With humor and insight, Melissa Mohr takes readers on a journey to discover how "swearing" has come to include both testifying with your hand on the Bible and calling someone a *#$&!* when they cut you off on the highway. She explores obscenities in ancient Rome--which were remarkably similar to our …

A Powers Play (the powers that be 1.5) by Harper Bentley

Blurb: Gable Powers had loved keeping me off-balance from the moment we met—dirty words whispered in my ear that made me tremble, a spectacular tattooed body that had my own craving his, a secret revealed that had only made me love him more. Even his proposal had taken me by surprise when he got down on one knee in the shower. But now it was my turn to shock him at midnight on New Year’s Eve in Vegas, and it was going to be awesome!
My thoughts: This was a very cute story. I like when authors write in between books like this. it makes the reader fall in love with the characters even more. I wish this book came out earlier instead of after the first 4 books. if you like Gable than you will love this book.

Reign of the Fallen by Sarah Glenn Marsh

Odessa is one of Karthia's master necromancers, catering to the kingdom's ruling Dead. Whenever a noble dies, it's Odessa's job to raise them by retrieving their souls from a dreamy and dangerous shadow world called the Deadlands. But there is a cost to being raised--the Dead must remain shrouded, or risk transforming into zombie-like monsters known as Shades. If even a hint of flesh is exposed, the grotesque transformation will begin.

A dramatic uptick in Shade attacks raises suspicions and fears among Odessa's necromancer community. Soon a crushing loss of one of their own reveals a disturbing conspiracy: someone is intentionally creating Shades by tearing shrouds from the Dead--and training them to attack. Odessa is faced with a terrifying question: What if her necromancer's magic is the weapon that brings Karthia to its knees?

My thoughts:
Very interesting book.  Can I just say that I am in love with my cover is to die for. I love the way the book start…

She’s Penna Carstairs.
The Renegade they call Rebel.
FMX-treme Magazine’s sexiest female athlete of the year.
There’s no rule in extreme sports she hasn’t broken,
No gender barrier she hasn’t demolished. She’s the woman I met in a bar in Vegas.
The woman I illegally BASE jumped for.
The woman I spent one insane, incredible night with.
But now I’m screwed.
Or rather…not screwed. Because the woman I can’t get out of my head is the one woman I can never touch again.
I’m Dr. Cruz Delgado—the youngest professor on this campus,
And Penelope Carstairs just walked into my class.
Each book in The Renegades series is a standalone story that can be enjoyed out of order.
Series Order:
Book #1 Wilder
Book #2 Nova
Book #3 Rebel My thoughts:
I love when books start out with adventure. this book had a lot of heartfelt moments. If you like teacher-student relationships than this is the book for you. I am usually really good at guessing when this stuff happens but this time I could not. I like that they bring …

Thoughts about bookcon

So my last post was about Bookcon. I wanted to give you the update on how it went. Overall it was a good event. this year was smaller than it has been in the past. I personally think that there are still some kinks to be worked out. I don't understand why there are kinks because the event is put on by Reedpop. If you don't know who Reedpop is well they host New York and San Diego comic con. Both of that event are bigger that bookcon and they still can't get it right. they need to go back to the drawing board and try again. Also, some of the publishers were a little more conservative than in years past. Also not as many good authors were signing this year. Will I go back next year... Yes because I love talking to other readers while I am there.

June Releases

This month might be a little longer because this is a popular month for release.

June 4th Blurb: coz-en (kuz-uhn)
1. trick or deceive.
• obtain by deception.

She was named most appropriately.

Cozen Taylor has more than earned her place as one of North America’s most successful thieves. Her name is whispered amongst criminal elite as the go-to thief when someone needs a heist.

She has never failed.

A call from the Miami-based Astor family could change all that with a job that seems almost impossible to complete. The mark should be simple—a stolen family heirloom, the man who has kept it hidden for over twenty years, and six months to return the piece to its rightful owners.

Nothing is ever that easy.

Three-hundred million for a successful heist. No smart thief would turn the offer down. Cozen didn’t expect a complication like him to put a kink in her plans, though. Sargon Makri—tall, dark, gorgeous, and entirely dangerous. For her life, her heart, and for the success of the heist.

The last th…

Bookcon this weekend!!!

Ok, so it is that time of year again. Bookcon!! if you don't know what Bookcon is than let me tell you. the event is held in New York City and people come from all over the world to interact with other readers. I personally love being in the environment with other readers. It is a great vibe. this year I did not get as many good tickets for Author signings but I am ok with that. The reason I am ok with it that is because last year I was so busy running around I did not get a chance to see much to enjoy everything. I will try to post on our Instagram so you guys can see what is going on at the event. if you don't follow us on Instagram our handle is and Tag us if you are going to be there.
