Unruley (legacy noval) by Bethany-Kris

The crime boss.
The hustling queen.

Cross and Catherine Donati have been married five years, but the life they’ve chosen still has things to teach them yet. One can never become too comfortable in their business. Trouble soon follows.

The principe and principessa are all grown up …

It’s tough being at the top. When all Cross wants is to slow down the world, reality has a way of speeding it back up. Just when Catherine thinks she’s learned everything her mother has to teach, more lessons come her way.

A king and queen must protect their thrones …

This is their life.
This is their love.

And unruly.
My thoughts:
so this is the last book in the series for this couple and Bethany-Kris did an amazing job of ending their story. in this book, they are adults that have a kid. I total pictured them without kids but ok. well, their kid is amazing and sassy. Cece makes the book. the lines that she says will have you on the floor laughing they are so funny.this book is about …

The Time Keeper by Mitch Albom

“The inventor of the world's first clock is punished for trying to measure God's greatest gift. He is banished to a cave for centuries and forced to listen to the voices of all who come after him seeking more days, more years. Eventually, with his soul nearly broken, Father Time is granted his freedom, along with a magical hourglass and a mission: a chance to redeem himself by teaching two earthly people the true meaning of time.”

I stumbled upon this book in a thrift store, placed it on my bookshelf, and completely forgot about it. When I was at Emily’s going through books she was planning on giving away, she had a copy. I grabbed it and thought it would make a good Christmas gift for my belly dancing, fire breathing, Aunt. I figured maybe I should read it before I gave it to her.
The novel is written in several parts, chapters, and sometimes in stanzas like poetry. It follows three characters through their lives and their quest for controlling time- more, less, or to stop it …

A very Marcello Christmas (Filthy marcello 3.6 ) by Bethany-Kris

Join the Marcellos as they celebrate the holidays …

Cecelia wants one thing for Christmas, and Antony thinks he can make the impossible happen for her. Never underestimate a man who loves his wife.

Lucian and Jordyn struggle to make this Christmas perfect for their kids when life gets in the way. Someone waiting in the wings is willing to play Santa to make it all happen.

Dante and Catrina battle the stress of managing work and family through the holidays. Sometimes it takes the right kind of reminder from those who matter most to make it all work.

Giovanni and Kim have to keep everything together—from business to party planning. Not to mention, they still have to find something that will satisfy little Andino’s one Christmas wish.

A little family spirit, and a bit of Christmas magic come together for all the Marcellos to make these holidays the best one yet.

Merry Christmas from the Marcellos.
It’s the only time of the year when they dust off the filth.

Ship of the Dead (Mangus Chase 3) by Rick Riordan

Blurb: Magnus Chase, a once-homeless teen, is a resident of the Hotel Valhalla and one of Odin's chosen warriors. As the son of Frey, the god of summer, fertility, and health, Magnus isn't naturally inclined to fighting. But he has strong and steadfast friends, including Hearthstone the elf, Blitzen the dwarf, and Samirah the Valkyrie, and together they have achieved brave deeds, such as defeating Fenris Wolf and battling giants for Thor's hammer, Mjolnir. Now Magnus and his crew must sail to the farthest borders of Jotunheim and Niflheim in pursuit of Asgard's greatest threat. Will they succeed in their perilous journey, or is Ragnarok lurking on the horizon? My thoughts: So I did not realize that this book was the last one in the series. When I first found out that the author was going to make a Viking series, I was excited. then he put the first book out and I thought it was good but it could have been better. then the next one came out and that was this b…

The Little Paris Bookshop by Nina George

“Monsieur Perdu calls himself a literary apothecary. From his floating bookstore in a barge on the Seine, he prescribes novels for the hardships of life. The only person he can't seem to heal through literature is himself; he's still haunted by heartbreak after his great love disappeared. She left him with only a letter, which he has never opened.”
I found this book during one of my many late night Barnes and Noble night trips. I’m absolutely obsessed with everything having to do with Paris and Parisian life.
When Monsieur Perdu opens the letter, he immediately embarks on a journey in which will change not only his, but everyone he meets on his journey. Through several countries, villages, and characters picked up along the way-you learn the different type of love. The meaning of life being fulfilled and the questions you’ve always wondered finally being answered.
It’s a lovely book which  made me emotional over lost love. It truly goes through the entire process of falling in l…

Wendy Darling Vol 3. Shadow by Colleen Oakes

Wendy Darling Vol 3. Shadow by Colleen Oakes
Goodreads Blurb: War has come to paradise, and the Neverland you know will never be the same.
Wendy Darling finds herself once again in the arms of Peter Pan, a charming god-child who desires power above all things. Instead of the passion she once had for him, however, this time Wendy’s hear burns with a secret: with Hook as her ally, she is there to defeat the evil that lies inside of Peter, the darkness that holds all Neverland hostage—the Shadow.

This is a task made nearly impossible by the arrival of Booth, her sweetheart from London and a new pawn in Peter's manipulative game—a boy whose heart she must break in order to save his life.

As all of Neverland prepares to fight, Wendy races to untangle Peter's connection to the Shadow, a secret long buried in the Forsaken Garden. When the time comes, all of Neverland will rise to fight—but if Wendy can't call the Shadow, everything she is fighting for will be destroyed. Is Wendy’s…

See What I Have Done by Sarah Schmidt

“Sarah Schmidt recasts one of the most fascinating murder cases of all time into an intimate story of a volatile household and a family devoid of love”
I was interested in the topic of Lizzie Borden after watching Ghost Adventures and the Tennessee Wraith Chasers visiting the Borden House Bed and Breakfast. On one of my many late night Barnes and Noble runs that happen during the week, I quickly researched Lizzie Borden books and this one came up.
It’s a historical retelling of the Lizzie Borden story that falls within Fiction and Nonfiction. I’ve since found out that a lot of this story is more real than it is fake. Overall the book made me more interested in the Borden murder mystery and I’ll be looking into more books about it.
The book was a good fast read, the characters are extremely fleshed out, and you get a feel for the entire house/area/time period.  The only thing that may be confusing is that the chapters jump back and forth between time periods and characters. There is a…

Revere (Legacy novel) by Bethany-Kris

She was once his liar.
He was once her savior.
Cross Donati fills his days with the mafia, family, and responsibility. The wild boy is a distant memory. A waiting prince now sits in his place. An old debt puts the gunrunner right back into the path of his past, but he only sees his future.
Every king needs a queen.
Catherine Marcello learned how to stand on her own, and she no longer needs saving. The sly girl is far more dangerous now. A broken promise taught her how to live again. One conversation puts the hustler face to face with her first love, but she only sees heartache.
Every God needs a prayer.
The scars of their history runs deep. Every lie told, and each secret spilled hurts a little bit more.
Love does not care.
Love will not wait.
So, why does life keep standing in the way?
My thoughts:
this series is amazing. I love there story and it makes me cry. there is action, deceit, and maybe a kidnapping. I like that Cathrine is finding here balance within herself. Cross is j…
