Property of Drex (Death Chasers 1 &2) by C.M. Owens

This review will be a double review because the author broke the book in half

                                                            29516776

EVE

What’s the most selfless thing you’ve ever done? What price tag would you put on the ability to save the ones you love?

They say the worst decisions are made by the desperate or the fools.

I was desperate enough to make a foolish decision to save my family. The cost? Me.

They may be a motorcycle club, but in all honesty they’re really an elite unit of criminals who just happen to drive motorcycles. They’re a business. An organization. A fully functioning army…

What I’ve learned? They work in the gray area; life and death is real; and everyone wants everyone dead. Okay, so maybe that’s dramatic… No. No it’s not. It’s legit.

I prepared for the worst, fully anticipating hating my new life. Turns out, I finally found out where I belonged. Oh, and I discovered I’m a little twisted or crazy. Maybe both.

Drex Caine, the man without a conscience, didn’t ruin me the way I thought he would. Instead, he made me feel like I was living instead of just waiting to live. And I can never go back to the way things used to be.

*Graphic Language
*Sexual Content
*Dual POV

My Thoughts:
this book was something else but i loved it. i love my family but what she does for her family is down right selfless. i give her credit for being so brave. i don't know what i would do if i was her. this is action packed and there is never a dull moment. it is also a very fast read.

Blurb:
The conclusion of Property of Drex.

My thought:
Drax is an idiot at first. he let this girl go. after every this his girl has been through and she is still coming back to you. That is a ride or die girl. this is a fast pace and can't stop reading type of book.

See How they Run by Ally Carter

Blurb:
Inside every secret, there's a world of trouble. Get ready for the second book in this new series of global proportions--from master of intrigue, New York Times bestselling author Ally Carter.

Grace's past has come back to hunt her . . . and if she doesn't stop it, Grace isn't the only one who will get hurt. Because on Embassy Row, the countries of the world stand like dominoes, and one wrong move can make them all fall down.

The twists get twistier and the turns get even more shocking in the second thrilling installment of Embassy Row.

My thoughts:
This book kept me on the edge at every turn. you never know what is going to happen next. i like the concept of this book because we don't get to see what it is like for embassy children in books. in this book we learn more about who her mother was and get to meet her brother. the ending of this book end is in a major plot twist that you will not see coming. we will also learn about scarface. the book was a fast but entertaining read. i can not wait till the next one.

Up in Flames (Rosemary beach 13) by Abbi Glines

25840037
Up in Flames by Abbi Glines

Blurb:
#1 New York Times bestselling author Abbi Glines returns to Rosemary Beach one last time in this highly-anticipated finale.

Spoiled. Selfish. Rich girl. Villain. Slut.

As the Prada-clad bad girl of Rosemary Beach, Nan Dillon has been called every vile name under the hot summer sun. Some of her reputation is deserved—she’s never had to worry about anything but maintaining her perfect figure and splitting Daddy’s private jet with her brother, Rush.

But Nan is far from happy. Rush has another kid on the way and doesn’t have time to catch up with his sister. Grant, the last guy she truly cared about, chose to be with her half-sister, Harlow, instead of her. And Harlow, who has never gotten over the way Nan treated her when she first moved to town, remains distant.

So when Major asks her out, she jumps at the chance to date the gorgeous charmer. Though she doesn’t know much about the sweet-talking Texan, and though it’s clear he doesn’t want to be exclusive, dating him beats hanging out with vapid socialites or watching Netflix alone at home.

For a while, Nan deals with Major’s playboy ways, but after he burns her one too many times, she takes off for an impromptu wild weekend in Vegas. There, she meets Gannon, a darkly seductive and oh-so-dangerous businessman who knows exactly how to handle her.

With Major asking for a second chance and Gannon haunting her dreams, Nan has to decide who to give her heart to. But what she doesn’t realize is that these players are involved in a much bigger game—and they’re already two moves ahead of her.

My thoughts:
I love this author. this is the final book in this series. I was very sad when i found this out. the main character of this story is Nan. Nan has showed up in Abbi's other books in the series. all she did was start problems and act a fool. when i was reading her other books there was times i hated her and other where i thought she was misunderstood. this book changed my mind about her. there is going to be some surprise that you will jot except to see in this love story.  i still to this day do not know how i feel about her but i am glad she got her happy ending.

The Sword of Summer (Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard #1) by Rick Roirdan

15724396

The Sword of Summer by Rick Riordan

Blurb:
Magnus Chase has always been a troubled kid. Since his mother’s mysterious death, he’s lived alone on the streets of Boston, surviving by his wits, keeping one step ahead of the police and the truant officers.

One day, he’s tracked down by a man he’s never met—a man his mother claimed was dangerous. The man tells him an impossible secret: Magnus is the son of a Norse god.

The Viking myths are true. The gods of Asgard are preparing for war. Trolls, giants and worse monsters are stirring for doomsday. To prevent Ragnarok, Magnus must search the Nine Worlds for a weapon that has been lost for thousands of years.

When an attack by fire giants forces him to choose between his own safety and the lives of hundreds of innocents, Magnus makes a fatal decision.

Sometimes, the only way to start a new life is to die . . .

My thoughts:
I love Rick Riordan books! i don't care how old you are, you should read is book. This book goes into Norse mythology. there is not a lot of fiction out there on Norse mythology. this is one of the main reasons why i like this book . it is fun, upbeat, and has just enough mystery. this book does have some characters from his other books. if you have not read any of his other books that is ok  so far in this series. this book is a fast read and you will not be able to put it down.
