Jesse and Lucy need a break. They look and feel like cast members from The Walking Dead, and I'm not talking about the humans. It's only an overnight break, but it's exactly what they need.
Cage and Sera attend a charity function and run into an unwelcome enemy. They spend a special night together before they get to work on a plan of how to keep one of their own safe.
My thoughts:
I love this short story. I liked how every other chapter was a different part of the couple. I am was a little disappointed with Lucy and Jesse's story. I wanted to have a little more context in the story. I also want to know what is going on with that guy who is staring at Sera. Otherwise, it was sexy, romantic, caring. I like reading short stories of the characters.
