Rockstar ladies interview

I have been thinking of this idea for a while now. Each of the Girls in the Rockstar series tamed their men but the real question is how did they do it? We are about to take a deep dive into the lives of the woman of the Rockstar series. Let me stop rambling and lets jump into it.

Leah: Thank you for taking time out of your busy lives to do this interview with me. I am excited
(all): Thank you for having us.

Leah to everyone: What advice can you give to the single ladies out there looking for a man?
Everyone: The ladies look at one another. Lucy speaks first, “Don’t settle. Never ever settle for less than you deserve. If you feel secondary to your significant other, likely you are.”
Summer nods. “You deserve better. Take your time. You’ll find him. It may not seem like it now but being patient and just living life is the best choice over a douche. When you least expect it, you’ll find him.”
They all nod and murmur their agreement.

Leah to Nicole: What was it like touring with the band? The good and the bad.
Nicole: Well, it was chaos. Always moving. In some ways it was glamorous—the hair and outfits and being on stage. In other ways it made me curl my lip in disgust. The guys are dirty. They leave their socks everywhere.”
Lucy cuts in, “That’s Xander.”
“Kennedy’s no better,” Nicole adds. “And then there are the fans. Some of them are so die-hard they’ll do anything to get close to the band members. Most of them are pretty normal, but every once in a while you get one or two that make you want to run in the other direction. With all that said, I”d do it again in a heartbeat.”

Leah to Sera: Do you ever miss modeling and Who was your favorite designer to work with?
Sera: Yes, I miss modeling. Not the runway shows, but the photoshoots. They’re invigorating. The photographers and the staff are so amped up and hoping to get the best shots. They make you feel beautiful—even on days you feel ugly.  My favorite designer. I think Vera Wang was my favorite. She made me the best dresses and still does. They’re so unique and Vera is inspiring.

Leah to Lucy: I know that you gave up acting but would come back if it was the right part, have any come to your attention that you would like to act in?
Lucy: Yes. I wish they’d picked me for This is Us instead of Mandy Moore. I’d love to act with Milo. Maybe one day. It would take a really special script to get me in front of the camera again.

Leah to Tera: Now that you are living in LA, what is your favorite thing to do?
Tera: Walk on the shoreline of the ocean, the waves washing over my feet. It’s a peace I never knew before.

Leah to Summer: How has your life changed since being with Jace?
Summer: Everything has changed. I have minimal privacy. I live in a house full of Rockstars and their children. My life before was one of solitude and silence, the exact opposite of what I have now. I never want to go back to that quiet life.

Leah to Meggie: What is it like to be in Blush? Would you change anything?
Meggie: Being in Blush is fab. I love the fact we all write songs, some together and some apart. I love the respect and camaraderie. The only thing I think I would change would be to do a couple of shows on our own. We always perform before Falling Down. I think we’d sell out just as quickly alone as we do with FD.

Leah to all the Blush Ladies: What can we look forward to with your next album?
Blush Ladies:Sera looks at Lucy and Meggie. “Less ballad-y music and more upbeat. Not pop-upbeat, but up-tempo rock that’s hard and edgy. I think it’s our best work to date.”

Leah to Nicole, Lucy, Tera, Summer: What advice do you have for all the new mothers?
Lucy:  “Oh boy,” Lucy snorts. “Don’t be afraid to ask for help. You’re not a bad mother because you need a break—you’re human. It’s better to take a little time away than to remain stressed out. Babies and kids know. They just do.”
Nicole: Nicole clears her throat. “My experience is much different. Maria and Antonio are adopted. They’ve been through the ringer and then some. Patience. Patience and love. And just letting them know that you’ll still love them if they spill their soda. Loving them through their nightmares and fears. Always being there.”
Summer: Summer nods and wraps an arm around Nicole. “Everything that she said. Everything that Lucy said. As for me, I’ll find out soon.”
Terra:Tera laughs. “It’s scary… frightening, actually, to know that this tiny little life is depending on you to take care of her, teach her the difference between right and wrong, be her support system, and give her all the love she needs but not so much you smother her. It’s early days for me right now, but I freak out. I admit it. It’s okay to freak out. Just breathe and keep on doing the best you can.”

Leah to everyone: How has your lives changed since you have been with your significant other?
Everyone: “Better. In all ways better,” Sera starts. “Cage is my rock, my anchor, and my best friend. I don’t know how I lived without him for so long.”
“Probably because he was always in the background in one way or another,” Lucy replies and Sera nods. “Being with Jesse is never boring. He keeps me on my toes and he curls my toes. I’m no longer alone and sometimes I felt like I would be forever. He’s my dream come true.”
“Trace and I seem like extensions of one another. We like the same things and we can honestly stand one another 24/7. You don’t find that often. While I enjoyed my solitude, I enjoy life with Trace.  He’s the love of my life,” Meggie answers.
“My life changed overnight. I met Jace, we had a one-nighter, and I never imagined I’d see him again. Then he had Kadi and I had to see him again. That day changed my life forever in ways I never imagined. I’m the happiest I’ve ever been,” Summer admits.
Tera looks down. “Xander and I have had a complicated life together—and apart. I’ve loved him since I was eight years old and I love him more with each passing day. He held on when most would have let go. He understood and still understands. He gets everything about me as I do about him. My life is so much better with Xander in it. He makes me feel like I could conquer the world.”

Leah to Meggie: Is it difficult to have your significate other in the band with you? Does it cause any problems between the band mates?
Meggie:When we’re performing, writing, or recording, no. After the shows, it’s a bit of a challenge. Women throw themselves at him and men hit on me right and left. I’m not worried about it. I know he’d never cheat, but Trace. He’s so possessive. Sometimes, if a guy hangs out too long, he throws me over his shoulder and leaves the fan standing there alone. Then he proceeds to remind me that I’m his in a caveman-like fashion. Yum!  So far it hasn’t caused any issues. I think we all respect one another’s opinions and Trace isn’t afraid to disagree with me nor am I with him. It’s all good.

Leah to Nicole: Now that you have kids how has your life changed?
Nicole: I love my life. It’s full of wonder. It’s a lot busier. I can’t wait to see what the children will come up with next. They’re both so intelligent. My heart is full and happy. I would have been fine with just me and Ben, but I’m so glad we found Maria and Antonio so we could help make their lives better, more fulfilling, and love them the way they deserve.

Leah to Tera: I got to see some of your art work when I was in New York. Will you have shows in LA now that you live there?
Tera: I will, yes! I’m so excited. I’ll still be working with Dante’s gallery, but Angelina will be handling everything of mine. Xander understands what and why, but he doesn’t want to see the guy, you know? I can understand that. It’s the same gallery where I showed my competition-winning piece in high school only they’ve expanded so the parking lot where I was attacked, no longer exists. Neither does the alleyway. And no, that wasn’t all for me. They’ve just gotten that big. I can’t wait for my next showing.

Leah to Sera: If there was a piece of advice that you could give your fans what would it be?
Sera: Don’t just think you’re beautiful, know it. Because you are. YOU. ARE. Every one of you out there is beautiful and I’m not talking superficially. Looks aren’t everything. It’s what’s inside of you that matters. Remember that. Remember you’re worth it—the best of everything, and settle for nothing less.

Leah to Lucy: How is Jesse handling being a father and What task does he hate doing the most when it comes to the kids?
Lucy:Lucy snickers. I won’t lie. At first he had a hard time. He was so afraid he’d “break” one of the babies. I mean, he could fit their tiny bodies on his forearm. But he got the swing of it and he knows he’s not capable of hurting them. What he’s always hated and still hates is feeding them. I swear to you, our four children are the messiest children on the planet when they eat. Food in their hair, on the floor, all over their faces and hands and arms. I love it! Jesse worries too much about the mess. There are how many people living in that house? Everyone helps clean up and with bath time. We don’t expect it, they just do it. I bet you thought I’d say diaper duty.
Meggie laughs. “You said doody.”
“I knew you’d laugh,” Lucy replies.

Leah: That is super funny. I thought you would say walking up in the middle of the night.

Leah to Summer: how did you come to the dedication to be a social worker?
Summer:When I was growing up, I didn’t have the best role models. You know about my dad and the band. I was neglected and I never want to see that happen to another child. I understood my dad’s dedication to his fans and friends, but he never showed that much commitment to his family—me. I felt like an after-thought a lot of the time. No child deserves that. No child should see what I saw at such a young age. I vowed to do my best to help every child I could and I do that every single day.

Leah to Tera, Nicole, Summer: when everyone is on tour, do you guys go with them or do you stay home? How does that work?
Tera: Tera begins, “I’d like to try to go for some of the time they’re on tour. I can’t imagine being apart that long ever again.”
Nicole: Nicole nods. “I toured with them as the Blush Baby, of course, but now that we have the children, we can’t just cart them everywhere we go, so I’ve stepped back. When they have some free time on the tour, the kids and I fly out to see Ben.”
Summer: “Well,” Summer begins, “I know all about touring. Again, from my dad. It can get lonely so I try to be there when I can, but I have a job, too. And now with the baby, it’s going to be hectic getting away. I think I’ll do what Nicole does and just go when there’s some off-stage time.”

Leah to the Blush Ladies:  What was the influence that gave you your passion for music?
Blush Ladies: “We’ve always listened to music. Classic rock, new rock, pop, top 40, country… all of it,” Lucy begins. “Sera and I always had music playing. It’s like it’s in our blood.”
“Exactly,” Sera agrees.
“When I was a little girl, my mama bought me a toy guitar. I tried so hard to play what I heard on the radio. Then one day my dad got me a child-sized guitar and lessons. I picked it up so easily and learned the chords of songs just by listening. I jammed the Stones and Hendrix, Michael Jackson and Prince, Van Halen and Journey,” Meggie reminisces. “So, my parents, I guess. Without them I probably wouldn’t have picked up a guitar.”

Leah to everyone: We are going to play a game. Fuck, Marry, Kill. The twist is the only men you can use are each other significant others but you can’t use your own significant other.
“Holy Hannah,” Nicole says. “Awkward.”
Lucy smirks. “Nah. Go ahead.”
Nicole nods. “Fuck – Linc… he’s just so… BIG. Marry – Cage. Kill – I don’t want to kill anyone, well, Xander sometimes, so I guess I’ll pick him. Sorry Tera.”
Tera waves a hand.
Lucy laughs. “Right on!”
Tera’s turn. “Fuck – Jesse. Marry – Kennedy. Kill -  you sure I can’t pick Xander?” she laughs.
Lucy’s turn. “Fuck – Trace. He’s got that caveman thing going on that I love so much.” Meggie nods. “Marry – Cage. Kill – Jace. Sorry, Summer.”
Summer laughs. “Sometimes I want to kill him too. I’ll just go now. Fuck – Cage. You just know it’s going to be an experience you’ll never forget.”
“Amen,” Sera interrupts.
“Marry – Xander. Life would never be boring. Kill – Trace. I don’t know why I picked him, Megs. Sorry.”
Meggie’s turn. “Fuck – Jesse. Lord have mercy.” Lucy laughs. “Marry – Ben. He’s so… gruff. Rawr.” Nicole lets out a moan of agreement. “Kill – Jace. Just because he knows too much. Sera’s turn!”
Sera nods. “I don’t really want to play because I don’t want anyone but Cage. No one could ever be what he is. But… since it’s a game, Fuck – Ben. I just want to know what I passed up. If you’re reading this Cage, I’m ready for my punishment.” She wiggles her eyebrows. “Marry – Ethan. I love Ethan. Sweet, kind, caring, loving, nurturing, Ethan.  Kill – Jace, for the same reason as Meggie. He knows too much.” Sera laughs. “Poor Jace.”

leah: Poor Jace. I hope they won’t be mad at me for asking.

Leah to everyone: You are all amazing woman, how does your friendship with each other help you be better people?
Everyone: Everyone looks at Lucy. “I guess I’m answering this one. I’d have to say, we learn so much from one another. Everyone as individuals are so different, when we come together as a unit, we pick up on things, things that someone does that makes us feel like a better person. Like, for example, Summer. She helps children and families in trouble or danger or just need help. Now, I’m not sure if Nicole and Ben would have went for adopting a baby instead of Maria and Antonio, but I think Summer influenced them on some level. Instead of fighting with the Joneses for Baby A, they wanted to help these lovely children who needed love. We complement one another. It just… works.”
“Best answer, ever,” Tera says. “That’s exactly right. Without Lucy’s almost immediate acceptance of me as myself and as Xander’s wife, I don’t think the rest of the ladies would have been so amenable. It would have been a much more difficult time for everyone involved.”

“Well, I could use a drink,” Lucy announces. “That last question was deep.”
Meggie bounces. “Let’s stop off on the way home.”
“Done,” Summer agrees.  Tera and Nicole nod.

“Thanks for having us again, Leah. We’re all happy to come back anytime,” Sera asserts as we all stand up.
Tera nods. “Anytime.”
Leah: thank you and I look forward to working with you again.

Enrage (eagle elite 8) by Rachael Van Dyken

35858612
Blurb:
Part of a world I loathe.

Part of a family who hates me more than I hate myself.

Living with a girl who reminds me of my darkness.

I'm. In. Hell.

Also known as the Cosa Nostra.

My life was over the minute I stepped off that plane.

Son to a murdered mob boss.

Heir to a throne of murder and lies.

My name is Dante Nicolasi.

And there will be blood.
My thoughts:
Dante, Dante, Dante. What are we going to do with him he is lovely and deadly. I feel so bad for him. The training that the other bosses put him through is ridiculous. More power to him for getting it done. he ends up falling for the nanny. I was a little shocked as well. through this book, we go through what Dante struggles and how he feels about the nanny. the Nanny also has crazy past. we will talk about that latter. So much happens in this book. I can't even talk about it. I will say this there will be death, destruction, someone will spiral, and betrayal. Must read.

Battles of the Broken (sons of templar #6) by Anne Malcom

Battles of the Broken (The Sons of Templar MC Book 6)
Blurb:
Souls are interesting things.
Not something you can prove you possess. Not something that can be measured, like a heartbeat.
But something that can be destroyed by the absence of a heartbeat.
No, you cannot prove you possess a soul.
But once that soul dies, there doesn't need to be proof that you don't have one.
Once that blackened pit opens inside you, the world can see it. The world cowers from it.
Gage knew this because his soul was long gone.
He was glad to be rid of it.
He was filled with depraved satisfaction that he could make the world cower from him.
That he could burn the world to the ground and he didn't have anything—like a soul or a conscience—to stop him.
Until her.
The woman who proved to him that she had a soul.
That he might have something left of his.
The woman who tricked the world, blinded it to the truth. Hid expertly what was broken and ruined inside her.
Though he was about to prove that there was nothing more broken than him. No one more broken.
He'd prove that by destroying them both.

My thoughts:
I have been waiting for this book for a while. I am glad we finally get to read it. If you have not read book one of the Son's. I highly recommend it. The emotions that you will feel while reading this book will be intense. both of the main characters have had a hard life. I love the relationship that she has with Gage. Even though he is a little crazy she still loves him. He also helps her as well. I will say that I am in love with this grandma. she lines make the book even more enjoyable. I can't wait to read more.

Empire (eagle elite 7) by Rachel Van Dyken

25544961

Blurb:
I have lost everything.
My purpose.
My love.
My soul.
Death knocks on my door, I want to answer, but every time I reach for the handle--the promise I made her, brings me back.
So I breathe.
I live.
I hate.
And I allow the anger to boil beneath the surface of a perfectly indifferent facade.
I am broken, I don't want to be fixed.
One last trip to New York, one last chance to redeem a lost part of the mafia family. The Empire is crumbling and it's my job to fix it, my job to mend the pieces that were scattered over thirty years ago.
The only issue is, the only way to fix, is to do something I swore I'd never do again.
An arranged marriage.
Only this time.
I won't fall.
Or so help me God, I'll kill her myself.
My name is Sergio Abandanoto, you think you know my pain, my suffering, my anger, my hate--you have no idea.
I am the mafia.
I am the darkness.
Blood in. No out.

My thoughts:
this book will have your emotions all over the place. I must have cried a bunch of time throughout this book. If I had to marry a new person right after my wife died, I don't think I could do it. We get introduced to two new characters in this book. the love story between the two characters makes it an even balance. they both keep each other in line. I  The main girl in this book made me a bit mad. How do you not realize that your family is part of the mob? There were so many factors that just did not make sense.  Other than that, I think that the book is very well written and I can't wait to read more.
